DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will report into a Finance Manager. This will include working with central accounting, finance operation and Global financial teams to ensure we have a controlled accounting process to do month end accounting and reporting activities in a manner fitting with our "Customer Obsession", "Deliver Results" and "Insist on Highest Standard" philosophy.

The Accounting Manager responsibilities include month end activities and ensure proper review of account balances for Amazon, preparation and review of monthly/quarterly/annually reconciliations and balance sheet analysis. This position will support the management in all aspects of financial accounting, purchase, sell, and invoice transaction management, inventory reconciliation reporting, inventory adjustments and returns and credit processing. This position will also play an important role in promoting systems/process development within department to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements.

The successful candidate will have a strong desire in innovating processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of our customers.

Key job responsibilities
- Use data and make recommendations to influence strategic decision-making and planning. Independently align financial and operational analyses with your business partners, challenging business partner assumptions when necessary
- Manage all reporting and analytics deliverables within agreed SLA's established with AWS and Central Accounting.
- Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses with little guidance and draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and may have global impact
- Controllership will be your top priority. You identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution
- Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
- Partner with AWS, Central Accounting and Finance Business Integration (FBI) team to manage projects coordination and test cases with high standards of quality.
- Partner with Service Center teams to document month-end close issues; make recommendations for improved controls, as necessary.
- Create reporting capabilities and communicate the operational results through monthly reviews with the customers.
- Perform processes' dive deeps to identify improvement opportunities and underlying issues causing defects in the regular operation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Accounting academic background with 8+ year of experience. Normally, includes MBA and/or people manager experience. Include superior financial analysis and financial modeling skills, proven evidence of influencing leadership and preparing financial recommendations. Concise and clear communication, with experience dealing with senior managers and/or business partners. Accounting Knowledge / Balance sheet Reconciliation, Inventories and Manufacturing accouting & Reporting activities - Strong accounting skills - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA, or CPA
