DESCRIPTION

To deliver on this reputation for trust the Risk Mitigation, Escalation Reduction, and Quality Assurance (Res-Q) Team is tasked with managing and resolving abuse incidents by Amazon's Selling Partners that may harm the Amazon brand. Our growth requires leaders who move fast, have an entrepreneurial spirit to create new solutions, have an unrelenting tenacity to get things done, and are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems.
As a Manager II, Risk Management you will be responsible for:
- Managing a team of 6-10 risk managers that are responsible for identifying, containing, and resolving time sensitive and high impact incidents.
- Performing incident remediation, to include determining scope, root causes, urgency, and potential impact, to quickly resolve the issues.
- Managing a team that supports analyzing escalations from various sources within Amazon and determining possible root causes.
- Driving conversations and ensuring proper documenting of incidents from initial detection through final resolution through Paragon.
- Serving as technical expert and liaison to legal personnel and explain incident details
- Reporting back to senior leaders on actions taken to manage the incident, including responding to directors and VPs.
- Working with program/product owners, vendor/catalogue managers and other business partners to resolve complex incidents and implement solutions to new risk vectors.

- Analyze existing policy and process gaps, and identify solutions to close them.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage a team of 6-10 Risk Managers who handle escalations from multiple vectors of abuse
- Handle ad hoc escalations with your Risk Managers
- Partner with internal and external teams to eliminate risks to Amazon
- Design and develop projects with your directs to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Must already be in a permanent L5 position.
- 2 years working in Selling Partner Abuse OR 2 working in investigations, risk, incident or crisis management as a manager.
- Demonstrated experience handling escalations.
- Demonstrated experience driving root cause investigations.
- Demonstrated experience working with cross departmental teams to perform investigations and improve processes.
- Strong communications skills and experience communicating with leaders and partner teams such as legal, PR, and other external teams.
- Ability to think critically with the vision to work both tactically and strategically.
- Ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situation.
- Experience preparing reports with deep dive results for management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree in a relevant field such as business.
- Experience working with SQL and Microsoft Excel.
- Organized, independent, and autonomous, able to set and meet own deadlines, and prioritize work with minimal guidance.
