DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Design Optimization Lead to drive creative efficiency, scalability, and innovation across our Systems & Scale initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a design background who can also lead process improvements, operational strategies, evangelize and cascade design learnings, manage multiple projects at the same time and work with cross-functional programs to optimize how design work gets done.
You will play a key role in bridging the gap between design, technology, and operations, ensuring that our AI-assisted workflows and design tooling are implemented effectively, measured for impact, and continuously optimized. You'll partner with designers, engineers, product managers, and business leaders to streamline workflows, drive adoption of creative technology, and balance innovation with sustainable execution.

Key job responsibilities
Design Efficiency, Process Optimization and Design Production:
* Identify and implement scalable mechanisms for improving production design workflows efficiency.
* Define and track KPIs to measure adoption and impact of creative tooling and AI.
* Establish best practices for scaling design technology solutions across multiple teams and organizations.
* Develop sustainable processes that balance rapid innovation with long-term scalability.
* Provide coaching to production designers on improving design efficiencies, enhancing skillsets, and adopting new tools.
* Actively manage Design Production campaigns, if needed.

Strategic Alignment & Cross-Org Collaboration:
* Align Systems & Scale initiatives with broader organizational goals and priorities.
* Drive cross-functional projects that span multiple workstreams, including Figma/tooling, AI, Creative IP, Beyond the Detail Page workflows, etc.
* Serve as a bridge between design, product, and engineering to ensure seamless execution of creative technology initiatives.
* Establish change management strategies to facilitate adoption of new workflows and systems within DBS.

Leadership & Coaching:
* Coach designers on efficient workflows, process improvements, and best practices for scalable design execution.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence within the design team.
* Partner with senior leaders to define long-term strategies for creative efficiency and innovation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of experience in Design Operations, Production Design, Design Program Management, or a similar role focused on creative efficiency and workflow optimization.
- Solid design expertise - you are proficient with Creative Cloud apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and AI tools used in the creative industry.
- Experience in building and implementing scalable processes for creative teams.
- Ability to define KPIs and measure the impact of design technology and operational changes.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of coaching designers and improving team efficiency.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience driving cross-functional collaboration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working in large, complex organizations with multiple design teams.
- Familiarity with AI-powered design workflows and creative automation.
- Background in change management and driving adoption of new creative processes.
